Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir John Reith |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 27 May 1929 |
Description | Informs he has been discussing with Colonel O'Gorman the letter on Radio Broadcasting that he wrote to Reith and Mckersley. According to Colonel O'Gorman, there may be difficulty in producing a sufficiently selective transmission with instruments of plain crystal-detector type, such as are used, by a very large number of listeners. Offers his own opinion stating that to obtain the complete selectivity that he desires, he would be ready to join the comparatively smaller band of listeners. Explains how to obtain what he refers to as broadcasting deluxe at not very greatly increased cost. |
