Description | This letter matches the text published in Philosophical Transactions, including the extracts from the preceding two letters. In his paper, Walsh recounts his experiments on torpedoes and their electric fluid in and around La Rochelle, France. He also provides an extract of a letter from the mayor of La Rochelle, Sieur Seignette, describing an experiment he witnessed on a torpedo or electric ray before the Academy of La Rochelle. The title of this letter was changed from 'Properties' to 'Property'. Numerous other corrections and deletions appear in black and red ink throughout.
