Description | Informs the Royal Society that they should be aware that the new constitution of the Conjoint Board of Scientific Societies, drawn up in 1922, has been approved by a considerable majority of the constituent Societies on the Board. However, notes that the Royal Society has said it would not continue to be a member of the Board under the new constitution. Notes that the new constitution hinges on the membership of the Royal Society [and without it, the Board will probably be dissolved]. Notes that the President of the Royal Society presided over the meeting of the Conjoint Board and pointed out the changes that have taken place since the Board's creation, and that a resolution was made to ask every Society whether the Board should be continued or not. Notes that the next meeting is planned for 21 March 1923, at the Royal Society's apartments in Burlington House. |
