Minutes of the last meetin were read
An account was read by Captain Kater of experiments for determining the length of the Pendulum vibrating Seconds at the principle Stations of the trionometrical survey. Resolved ;
1. That this be transmitted to the Council of the Royal Society to be read at their table.
2. That in transmitting this account to the Royal Society ' the Committee feels it to be their duty to express their high approbation of the talents and zeal which he has exhibited in the pursuit of his very laborious and accurate series pf observations, which they consider as reflecting the greatest credit not only on himself but also on the Society of which he is a member. '
