DescriptionCommittee agreed;
a. that it is unnecessary to call a meeting of th4e British National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics before the III General Assembly of the International Union unless some controversial point is raised by the agenda

b. that the following be recommendations to Council;
i. that professor G Temple and Professor L Howarth be appointed UK delegates to the III General Assembly of the International Union of Theoretical and Applied MEchanics to be held in Brussels From 27 to 28 July 1954 and

ii. that a grant of £25 be made by the Royal Society towards the expenses of Sir Richard Southwell in attending the III General Assembly of the International Union of Theoretical and APplied Mechanics of which he is an elected member.
