1. Sub-Committee. Chairman
It was noted that the Council of the Royal Society had appointed Professor R W Ditchburn to be Chairman of the Optical Sub-Committee in place of Dr E W Taylor who had expressed the wish to resign as Chairman and as a member of the Sub-C0mmittee. ?The Chairman read fromt Dr Taylor's letter of 3 January thankiong the members of the Sub-Committee to express its warm appreciation of his valuable guidance.

The minutes of the meeting held on 15 March 1960 were confirmed.
