1. Read resolution of Council appointing the Committee
2. Discussed the acquisition of a corona photographic apparatus similar to that of Dr Huggins apparatus from Mr Grubb for £16, assuming the equatorial mounting and telescope could be lent. Resolved;
2.1 That £25 be authorised for the apparatus
2.2 That Dr Huggins to superintend the construction
3. Report by Dr Huggins on receipt of invittion for himself and Professor Holden to to take the Observations at the Lick Observatory; refused as it was not 'easy access' and elevationof 4,000 feet considered insufficient.
4. Resolved that the Riffle, of which Captain Abney had experience both as regards advbantagews presented by the atmosphere foe celstial observatories and possibility of housing and boarding the observers, be selected as the station during next summer. Captain Abnney and Dr Huggins to confer as to the best means of carrying out the observation, and Dr Huggins to summon a meeting of the Council when it might be expedient.
5. Captain Abney requested to report on his negotiations with the Commune of Zermatt concerning the lease of a site on which to erect a shelter which would be available for a few years and also the probable cost.

2. Resolved - that a Committee be appointed to carry out the recommendation regarding the proposal of Dr Huggins, to consist of Captain Abney, Mr Christie, Mr De La Rue, Dr Huggins and Dr Schuster |
