' After an examination of Dr Lendenfeldt's drawings and MS, and a personal interview with Dr Lendenfeldt, in which he explained his desire to be enabled to publish in the first instance the account of the Horny Sponges, it was Resolved - That the Council be recommended to authorise the publication, by the Society of Dr Von Lendenfeldt's Monograph on the Horny Sponges of Australia, as an independent volume apart from the Phil Trans, the cost of the plates not to exceed £300, and the price of the volume to be determined hereafter, and that the consideration of the offer of the Australian Museum Sydney to purchase 50 copies for £200 be post poned for the present.
Also that the question of publishing the account of the calcareous sponges of Australia be deferred. ' |
