1. Confirmed minutes of meeting of 30 January 1948
2. Matters arising from the minutes; 2a. Grant to A E Alexander - increased to £20 2b. Application from Mrs Holt and Dr Owen - application from Dr Owen withdrawn, and ' several other applictions to the Genetical Congress received. It was agreed to deal with these when considering the list of applications later in the meeting.' 2c. Grant to Professor A C Frazer - applications supported by Faraday Society, therefore resolved that ' it be a recommendation that a grant of £30 from the Yarrow Fund be made to Professor Frazer towards the cost of travelling expenses and subsistence in connexion with attendance at he joint meeting of the Faraday Society and the Societe de Chimie Physique held in Bordeaux in October 1947. ' 2d. Application from Professor R G W Norrish - Ministry of Supply did not propose to assist him in the expenses of his visit to the USA, but it was possible that his expenses in America would be defrayed by the United States. Discussion deferred to later i the meeting 2e. Application from Dr T Godey - his application withdrawn as he had been appointed a British delegate to attend the International Congress of Zoology
3. General Polilcy of the Committee - to seek a directive from the Council on the use of the Scientific Congresses Grant in aid and the Yarrow Fund

(e) that Professor Simon be asked to insure that there was no overlap between the Royal Society and British Council assistance to the guests of the Physical Society at their Oxford meeting (f) that it be a recommendation to Council that Professor G R de Beer be appointed a delegate to the 10th International Congress of Limnology to be held at Zurich from 18 to 25 August 1948, in place of Captain W N McClean who was unable to go, and that the grant of £46 already allocated to the delegate be used to meet his expenses.
