Information had been received of the death of Jacob Steiner, voiding his nomination as a Foreign Member, and of the death of M. Despretz of Paris. List of candidates for Foreign Membership from which two names would be nominated at the next meeting. Letter from Dr. Odling requesting on behalf of the Chemical Society to have impressions of plates for Dr. Gilbert's lecture, granted.
