Citation | John Wesley Williams Esqr of Portsmouth Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of London, late President of the Portsmouth & Portsea Literary & Philosophical Society a Gentleman who has cultivated with success various branches of Anatomical & Physiological Science especially in connexion with the subject of Asphyxia [underlined] which has led to his receiving the medallion of the Royal Humane Society for recovering several Lives: and who is likewise the author of a valuable improvement in the mode of operating for the Cataract,- Being desirous of the honor of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society, we the undersigned do hereby certify from personal Knowledge that he is highly worthy of that honor and likely to become a useful & valuable Member |
