Author of 'Fungi and Disease in plants' (1918), and of some twenty papers on diseases of Indian plants, the more important being: - 'An Account of the Genus Pythium and some Chytrideaceae'; 'Some Diseases of Cereals caused by 'Sclerospora graminicola''; 'The Bud Rot of Palms in India'; 'On Allomyces, a new aquatic Fungus'; Studies in Permospora (with G S Kulharni); 'Red Rot of Sugar Cane'; 'Fungi Indiae Orientalis' (with H and P Sydow).
