Title | Jones, Owen Thomas: certificate of election to the Royal Society |
Description | Date stamp on reverse |
Citation | Distinguished especially for his researches among the Lower Palaeozoic Rocks of Central and South Wales. His determination of the structure of Central Wales, by a combination of stratigraphical and palaeontological methods, is a most important contribution to the knowledge of structural geology. He has also written much on problems of physical geology and physiography, and done detailed palaeontological work. His labours, indeed, have added to our knowledge of all branches of geology. |
