Her current work is developing and applying machine learning to healthcare. Her work on forecasting personalized disease trajectory and estimating individualized treatment effects is changing the way cancer, cardiovascular disease, cystic fibrosis and transplantation patients are treated, hospitalized patients are managed, and the way scarce resources are allocated during the current pandemic. |
