| Description | This file includes correspondence relating to both the expedition proposal and planning, up until the end of the expedition and subsequent discussion meeting. It includes a paper sent to the Biological Committee of the Royal Society (reference B/4(56)) which consists of copies of replies to Dr C F A Pantin's enquiries about an expedition in honour of the anniversary of the Beagle voyage and in particular to establish relationships between the species and geology in New Zealand, Australia and the Western side of South America. The file includes an early record of the correspondence, listing letters between the Royal Society and Commonwealth countries between 7 May 1956 and 24 March 1958. |
