TitleSouthern Chile Expedition film
Date1958 - 1959
DescriptionFile of papers relating to filming done during the expedition to Southern Chile. The film was edited to produce a final product named 'South from Chiloe'. The file includes correspondence, draft copies of a script of a film commentary [perhaps under a working title 'South Pacific'], handwritten notes on the film and Royal Society internal memos, which includes information such as film costs. The file also contains papers relating to a slightly later film, produced in 1961, but still based in Southern Chile and resulting from the expedition. This film titled 'Alacaluf' focuses on the people living in Southern Chile.
