DescriptionLetters regard the proposed expedition to North Borneo in 1961 and in particular an invitation to Swabey to join the North Borneo Expeditions Committee. The majority of correspondence on behalf of the Royal Society, is from D C Martin obut there are also two copy letters from Sir Joseph Hutchinson, Chair of the North Borneo Expeditions Committee. Letters from 1962 relate to the formation of the Federation of Malaya which would include the British territories and the subsequent formalities of informing various interested parties if a second expedition were to go ahead. Includes a letter from Miss M P Hatfield relating to a circular sent to the Commonwealth Relations Office in 1964.
