TitleLetter from G E Hemmen, Royal Society to E J H Corner, c/o Department of Agriculture, Jesselton, Malaysia
Date13 February 1964
DescriptionInterim letter as Hemmen not yet in a position to give Corner all the information he wants. Has already sent instructions for making papaformaldehyde and is waiting for Harrisons and Crosfiled to indicate how much they have spent to prepare a statement of expedition's finances. Has received second batch of films and updates Corner on the Borneo film corrections. Hopes that the expedition is running smoothly, following the 'wind, rain and crashing trees'. Has covered 10 tree climbers for £800, although has only received nine names. Asks whether the rice has turned up and offers a quick note on progress for the Solomons [expedition].
