TitlePapers concerning food on the Solomon Islands expedition
Date19 November 1964 - 4 October 1970
DescriptionCorrespondence and notes relating to food for the Solomon Islands expedition. The correspondence includes letters between the Royal Society and Ministry of Defence and relates to ration packs, information from the MoD is passed on to other Royal Society suppliers concerned with supplying foodstuffs. The file does include details provided by the Armed Services [British and Australian] on the contents of their ration packs, but these are dated later than the Solomon Islands expedition and the later correspondence from Dr K E Lee suggests that this information was used in the lead up to the New Hebrides expedition in the 1970s.
