DescriptionSorry he did not have time to see Florey after meeting - Macintosh's budget was cut - Vice Chancellor formulated idea that Macintosh would train series of men who would raise standard of anaesthetics throughout country - comments on discussion about Gunn, Barclay's salary and Barclay's assistant - comments on way in which Oxford committees are run - Radcliffe Infirmary might lend 6 beds to the Professor of Medicine, who might later take over beds which will be vacant when Mallam retires - comments on this - temporary surgical beds might be forthcoming - matter will be discussed at Radcliffe Infirmary subcommittee meeting on 17 February - asks Florey to attend this, as he cannot be there - Vice Chancellor forced appointment of sub-subcommittee on building plans - comments on this and on membership of committee - Girdlestone's affairs were discussed half-heartedly - sorry Florey and his wife have 'flu - will send nurse from London Hospital if needed.
