DescriptionHas very little criticism of her chapter [on administration of penicillin] - doubtful about her treatment of question of dosage intervals - discusses this question and the literature upon which he bases his view that fairly frequent administration is desirable - makes minor criticisms concerning recovery of penicillin from lymph, dosage and pharmacological effect of procaine - Lady Florey refers to work suggesting that smaller particles of procaine penicillin produced longer effect than large particles - discusses work of Dowling and others suggesting large particles give more prolonged effect and discusses Pfizer's new penicillin which has small and large particles of procaine penicillin - comments on stability of penicillin pastilles - refers to his and Shooter's work on rate of elimination of penicillin from blood and comments on Hamilton-Patterson's findings.
