Asks Richard Sheepshanks that John Frederick William Herschel be allowed to tell parties, to whom a copy of the engraving of John Frederick William Herschel's portrait will be given, that it is a gift from Richard Sheepshanks, lest John Frederick William Herschel be considered immodest for giving his own 'effigy.' |
