Table of measures with results of measures of the photographs of the solar eclipse taken by Warren de la Rue and the expedition on 18 July 1860; positions calculated by [Richard Christopher] Carrington for Rivabellosa, Spain and calculations by Mr Farley. References the position and angle of the photographs, last contact, middle of eclipse etc. Note: "later commencement and earlier termination of eclipse point to an error in the absolute (not relative) diameters of Sun & Moon assumed in the calculations". |
