DescriptionCopy of postscriptum, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father.
Annotated in parenthesis, "formal - presenting Results &c at C[ape of] G.[ood] H[ope]".Mentions the value of William Lassell's paper on Neptune's first Satellite. Considers the observations decisive and hope Lassell will find more. Notes "Your later diagrams seem to throw the ring overboard".

Still considers "the prism was crown & the most exquisite thing as to workmanship I ever beheld".
