Description | Daily meteorological observations made at Tonbridge in Kent. Usually two sets of records per day, morning and evening. Columns for date and time, barometer, wind direction and strength, weather, cloud, rainfall, and miscellanous observations. There are annual summaries by month of barometer readings, wind rain and miscellania, at the concluson of each annual gathering. At the rear of the volume, there are several summary lists and tables, including: rainfall by month in each year, 1734-1764 [p.650]; synopsis of barometer and rainfall by year, at Falkham, Northfleet and Tunbridge, 1729-1745 [p.652]; and a summary [in English], of monthly winds, with some general remarks, January 1730-February 1742.
