| Description | Table of horizontal force magnetometer readings taken at two minute intervals from 9.41a.m. on 5 April to 7.30p.m. on 6 April 1843 [Singapore mean time], a period of magnetic disturbance. Columns for date, Singapore and Gottingen mean time, mean reading of instrument uncorrected, mean reading corrected to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, temperature, change from the mean of the month in angular space, change from the mean difference of the month in trems of horizontal intensity, horizontal intensity of each observation the monthly mean supposed =1, with general remarks.
A note [p.1] states that 'The former paper that was sent was wrong, the correction for tempe. having been added instead of subtracted'.
