DescriptionTable of horizontal force magnetometer readings taken at hourly intervals from 0.16a.m. on 5 April to 11.16p.m. on 7 April 1843 [Singapore mean time], a period of magnetic disturbance. Three sets of columns for each of the days, Singapore and Gottingen mean time, mean hourly readings corrected to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, difference of hourly values from the mean of the month in angular space, changes in hourly values from the mean of the month, hourly values in terms of horizontal force mean of the month being taken =1.

Headed [p.1]: 'Changes of Horizontal Force during the 5th 6th & 7th of April 1843 being days of great disturbance...'. Signed [p.1] by Charles Elliot. Inscribed [p.2]: 'Abstract of the changes of Horl. Force during the 5th 6th & 7th of April'.
