Description | Graphical representations of meteorological observations made at Deesa, Gujarat State. Two diagrams per sheet. The upper diagram is headed: 'Barometer, and Wind and Rain Diagram from the 9 1/2am [eg 9.30am] observations. The lower is headed: 'Thermometer and Hygrometer Diagram'. Direction of wind is noted by compass arrows.
Each sheet is headed 'Meteorological Observatory at Camp Deesa...'. The printed sheet is engraved lower left and right: 'H. James Captn. R.E. delt. J.W. Lowry sc.'. The author of the sheets is not noted, but these are based upon the observations made by Corporal George Imrie. Occasional pencil notes verso and a typed paper label [p.24]: 'Deasa. Barometer, wind & rain, thermometer and hygrometer diagrams. 1858.'. |
