DescriptionHourly hygrometer and wind observations made at Belagavi, Karnataka State, at the hospital of the 64th Regiment. Readings on 'Term-days', one set per month, commencing from 6.00am, and ending at 5.00am on the following. Times of observation appear in the 'day of the month' column; the hygrometer, wind and cloud columns are completed, together with general weather remarks. All other columns are not filled.

Each sheet is headed 'No. 1 Meteorological Observatory at Belgaum...'. Inscribed 'Observations made by William McDonaugh...Lance Corporal HM's 64 Regt...'. Variously signed and endorsed including by the Regimental Assistant Surgeon, R.T. Buckle, and by the Superimtending Surgeon T [?] Mackenzie. Inscribed verso with similar details and the dates of completion on the first of the following month. Typed paper label [p.24]: 'Belgaum. Daily met obs. 1858.'.
