Description | Daily observations made in the morning and afternoon, and arranged in monthly sheets, from the Colaba Observatory. Columns for Moon's age, day of the week, day of the month, barometer and hygrometer readings, wind and cloud. With [morning only] columns for self registering dry and wet bulb thermometers, rain and wind maximum. There are also columns for prevalent diseases and natural history [left blank] and for general remarks on the weather. There are some secondary tables, including maximums, minimums and means drawn from the main results.
Each sheet is headed: 'Meteorological Observatory at Bombay...' with the date. Signed below by the observer, either Govind Ramchundra or Hurry Chintamun. Signed by E.F.T. Fergusson as Superintendent of the Government Observatory. |
