Title | Letter from [Frederick Orpen] Bower, 45 Kersland Terrace, Hillhead, Glasgow, to the Secretary of the Royal Society |
Creator | Bower; Frederick Orpen (1855-1948) |
Date | 28 May 1896 |
Description | Bower requests to withdraw his paper regarding ophioglossaceae, as the amendments proposed 'greatly weaken' his argument, and he would rather 'forego' the advantages of a publication in the Philosophical Transactions, than present his argument in an 'incomplete and weakened form'. Seeks permissionto retain his paper and illustrations which are currently on loan to him from the Royal Society. On the reverse of this letter are directions to reply to Bower. |
