Title | Copy letter from the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to the Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Northern Ireland, 55 Linenhall Street, Belfast |
Date | 31 January 1947 |
Description | Stating that the Royal Society has neither issued nor proposed to issue any report on the investigation into district heating in conjunction with electricity generation. He thinks that the report referred to is: ''Report on Heating and Ventilation of Dwellings (Post War Building Studies No. 19)' by the Heating and Ventilation (Reconstruction) Committee of the Building Research Board of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, H.M Stationery Office, 1945'. He also suggests a report on Domestic Fuel Policy issued by the Fuel and Power Advisory Council. He understands that Sir Alfred Egerton referred generally to this report in his Andrew Lang lecture on 13 December 1946, but suggests that the 'Daily Telegraph' have 'erroneously connected' the Royal Society with this invetsigation. |
