TitleLetter from Francis Albert Eley Crew, Animal Breeding Research Department, High School Yards, The University, Edinburgh, to William Bate Hardy
Date7 July 1922
DescriptionWriting in refernce to Lancelot Hogben's application for a Mackinnon Studentship, he notes that Hogben is now working in the department along the lines laid down in his proposed thesis. He has the nominal status of University Lecturer in Experimental Zoology. Crew wishes him to take part in the course for advanced students in genetics - Hogben has already done similar lecturing at Imperial and therefore there would be little additional work involved for him and it would be useful in his research. Hogben would not be involved in the ordinary run of teaching. Crew asks for Royal Society Council's approval of this course of action.
