| Description | Bent is unable to continue his explorations in Arabia this winter because the country is in a disturbed state. He proposes to explore the western littoral of the Red Sea instead. Knowledge of the flora of this region is scanty. Bent is willing to collect if a contribution can be made to employing a native collector who could penetrate the interior. This answered very well last year in Dhofar. Bent says that £30 would be sufficient and Thiselton-Dyer asks for this amount from Council. It is important, since Kew is engaged in an extensive African flora for the Government. Bent starts early in December.
