Description | Monthly report of the superintendents of exploration. The 'fifth series of excavations' were completed end of April. The recess under scrutiny terminates in a gallery and is named the 'North-Eastern Gallery', which may open to an external entrance if excavated further. Gives an account of finds, including: 'several fine teeth of ursus spelaeus' [cave bear], and 'a bronze socketed celt,' considered 'a fine specimen' - two outline tracings [side elevation and plan] are depicted.. |
