Caldecott praises Gliddon describing him as ‘gentlemanly’, remarks on his assistance in ‘forwarding the magnetic affairs at Cairo’, his familiarity with Egypt and hieroglyphical research. Caldecott is unaware of the scientific matter Gliddon wishes to discuss with Sabine but is confident Sabine will enjoy his conversation. |
