Clerk has no objections to a press statement on the existence of the committees, although he believes that their composition or membership should remain secret. It would be undesirable to advertise committee membership in the form of a badge or other sign of office. The Engineering Sub-Committee has maintained secrecy as far as is practical, but the need to write to the authors of inventions has revealed the chairman and secretary. |
