Describes the progress of the Expedition through Antarctic waters and pack ice from 2 January onwards. As of the writing of the report, the ship is at anchor off Camp Ridley [site of the base camp for the 1898-1900 Southern Cross Expedition]. Signed by Robert Falcon Scott.
