| Description | He received Ramsay's letter enclosing [Joseph] Larmor's yesterday. He was sure that he was correct, but after such criticisms he thought he might be unduly prejudiced in favour of his own views. It is difficult to discuss via letter and he is far from London. He has taken the paper to Professor [James] Walker who agrees with his deductions and cannot find anything improbable in the hypothesis. He is enclosing Larmor's letter and his replies on a separate sheet. Ramsay has advised him to take pains in his writing, and Steele reassures him that part three has been rewritten four times. |
