| Title | Letter from P [Pieter] Zeeman], Physical Laboratory, Leiden, to [Joseph Larmor] |
| Creator | Zeeman; Pieter (1865-1943); Dutch physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 5 January 1894 |
| Description | He sends two papers, thinking that their subjects would interest Larmor, and serve to convince him of the high degree of certainty in experimental data on the Kerr phenomenon. He thinks they now have a satisfactory description of this. Contamination of the surface of the mirror may have some influence, but not as much as a reader unacquainted with the subject might suppose from the note in Larmor's memoir. He concludes by saying he is now investigating the case of normally reflected light. |
