Title | Letter from H L [Hugh Longbourne] Callendar, Royal College of Science, South Kensington, London, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Callendar; Hugh Longbourne (1863-1930); British physicist |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir; Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 26 February 1908 |
Description | Callendar puts forward his views on the recent paper by [Alfred William] Porter, which he feels is 'quite worth printing, though he seems to claim a little too much'. Callendar feels that the particular point Porter raised at a recent Society meeting 'was rather of common knowledge some years ago', although does not feel that this is cause to reject the paper 'if the paper is worth printing on other grounds', and does not wish to confront Porter on these matters himself.
