Title | Letter from E P [Edward Parnall] Culverwell, Trinity College Dublin, to Mr Tucker, London Mathematical Society |
Creator | Culverwell; Edward Parnall (1855-1931); Irish mathematician |
Date | 25 May 1895 |
Description | Culverwell is angered by the fact that his paper on the topic of discontinuous solutions has been accepted by the London Mathematical Society on the condition that portions of his explanation are taken out, for reiterating the work of [Isaac] Todhunter. Culverwell argues that this is not possible and states that many of his friends and colleagues agree. He shares the views of [Joseph] Larmor on the matter.
