John has asked to enclose a cutting [not present] of the return of dominion income tax on Canadian Pacific which may interest Joseph. He will have seen that [Richard Winn] Livingstone was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Queen's University; he and the Prime Minister of New Zealand will get honorary degrees. Magee College has had no success in getting a grant from the Ulster Government, has small student numbers, and after Queen's there is no room for tha second college. |
