Title | Letter from A B [Alfred Bray] Kempe, 19 Pembridge Square, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Kempe; Sir Alfred Bray (1849-1922); British lawyer and mathematician |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 16 October 1905 |
Description | He thought he might see Larmor at the International Catalogue meeting. They discussed a temporary loan but concluded it would do little good and there would be no funds to repay it. They need to recognise that £4,000 is not enough working capital and that it should be £6,000, giving details of his thinking and money owed from America and the Smithsonian. He concludes that they will have to lend £2,000 at 4 per cent.
With some pencil notes by Joseph Larmor. |
