| Description | It is a long time since Kempe has seen Larmor and he was sorry to hear that he had been the victim of influenza. He raised the question of a subsidy to the university men but it did not find favour. In view of the heavy loss over the Catalogue, the Committee thought that any subsidy would be too small, and the [Cambridge] Press would need something more. They concluded that they should proceed with the first revision, then reduce staff to three in order to complete and see the volumes published. He concludes with general personal news, including [Archibald] Geikie's loss. |
