TitleLetter from Horace Lamb, Didsbury, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorLamb; Sir Horace (1849-1934); British mathematician
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date22 July 1894
DescriptionHe has almost made up his mind to cut the British Association and return to Wales from London on 6 August, if Larmor can be induced to spend more time in Oxford and start on 15 August, giving a full week in Wales. He has been looking at maps and timetables. Swiss mountaineering would be expensive; pleasant, but difficult to work in with other areas. He discusses regions and itineraries, including going to Landeck or Innesbruck and walking cross country, taking in three glacier passes. It would take ten days or two weeks he estimates and outlines the route, asking Larmor to consider this.
