Description | Milne discusses proposed daylight saving, which may be good for clerks, but workmen will have to get up at 4.00am. Mornign darkness will be nearly trebled, and he considers it 'a wicked proposal which will benefit a few but hurt many'. He is not easing off work, an as stations have increased, he is getting more of it: 'unlike the child that cried for the Moon, I cried but got what I wanted. The toy is too big'. He asks Larmor to talk with Douglas Hale to stop 'the time wasting bill'. |
