DescriptionHe has carried out Perry's instructions on the magnetic field experiment, delayed by Dr. [Silvanus Phillips] Thompson using the electromagnet. He has tabulated his results as far as he can, noting items of apparatus. He describes the fall of the mercury when the current or field was reversed and the effects of moving the tube. He has no definite results on the Leiden jar experiment, but explains how he hopes to use the electrometer.
