Title | Letter from G W [George Walter] Prothero, Harrogate, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Prothero; Sir George Walter (1848-1922); British historian |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 27 August [1914] |
Description | He can understand that Members [of Parliament] are thinking of nothing but the War and Ireland. Prothero believes his scheme would be useful, but if Larmor thinks it is no use to approach M.P.s, he will defer to that judgement. He will bear in mind what Larmor says about sending a circular to M.P.s and he will accept Larmor's offer of collecting scientific signatures. They will continue to prepare leaflets and other sources of information. |
