TitleLetter, Louis Leakey, East African Archaeological Expedition, in Camp at Oldoway [Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania], to Percy George Hamnall Boswell
Date8 September 1932
DescriptionLeakey is sorry that Boswell has submitted to 'Nature' his work on the Oldoway deposits until there was a longer series for analysis. Leakey cabled 'Nature' to have the letter held over. He is not convinced that Hopwood's samples are sufficient and is bringing back more; Wayland also has samples. Briefly describes some fossil finds including fragmentary Deinotherium and comments on water shortages. Appends three criticisms of the letter to 'Nature' that have occurred to him 'offhand'.
